2013 feels like a distant memory to me. It started off  really well and seemed to keep a steady pace, not too fast, not too slow and then about half way through the year it fast forwarded at warp speed. Was it just yesterday that my little Russian dolls snuck out for their yearly play day in the snow,

 

that the snow drops were coming into bloom to tell us that winter would soon come to close and that we would have a proper summer,

 

or that we were basking in the heat of summer with many a meal on the terrace and the rose colored sunsets that came with it.

 

Fast forward and it is now 2014, it is cold and rainy and the prospect of summer seems very far far away. And yet, I am excited and nervous for what is to come in 2014. It is kind of like the feeling you get on the first day of school or the first day at a new job. Will they like me, will I like them, and before you know it coasting through and having the time of your life.

As I look back on 2013 with all the good and wonderful things I experienced and even the few bad things that happened, because after all some bad has to happen in order to appreciate the good, I know that the best is yet to come. So 2014 whatever you have in store, bring it on because I am ready for you and I hope you ready for me.
