When I think that 2014 is coming to a close, I feel a mix of relief, sadness and excitement. Truth be told, this has not been one of the best years that I can remember, and yet it’s ending on a high note, and some really good things did happen.

Not being one to dwell on the bad (I let my Sunday roast blog fall by the wayside and had to put my jewellery aspirations on hold) I’m focusing on the great things that happened. My hubby and I became home owners; after three years of persistence I got a volunteer placement at the V&A – proof that persistence does pay off! and I got to see my beautiful family more times than I expected.

So as I look back on a year that was up, down, topsy, turvy, filled with parades, fashion, perfect cocktails and meals, and days that I did not want to end… 2014.
